Sen. DeMint: DC Snow Is Revenge on Gore:
Sen. Jim “Health Care will be Obama’s Waterloo” DeMint of South Carolina is once again making his state proud by posting on his Twitter account the following: “It’s going to keep snowing in DC until Al Gore cries ‘uncle’”. Classy, Senator, real classy. It’s to be expected that climate change skeptics and deniers would use any strange weather to back up their case that climate change is a hoax, but this is beyond the pale. It does snow in February in DC, Senator. You’ve been in DC long enough to have realized this.
OK, I know–a politician for pandering to the deniers in his base is hardly news. But I sometimes look at some of the US politicians (paging Senator Inhofe) and wonder how they keep getting elected, considering how disconnected from reality they are.
Obviously, they keep getting elected by setting their level of disconnect from reality to closely match that of their constituency. Inhofe’s and Demint’s constituencies largely think that their representative’s are doing God’s work.
See for pointing me to the far superior here for a glimpse at the intellectual and moral level at which they operate.
