You can argue amongst yourselves over who is “really” to blame for the US’ oil dependency (and related problems), the idiots who cut every corner they can (often with the aid of compliant, as in bought-and-paid-for, politicians) when drilling for oil or the idiots who use obscene amounts of oil with no concern for anything but its price.

The majority of the great unwashed public out there do not make this connection. Oh, how I wish that the cartoon above would appear on everyone’s home page every morning for the next month or so, and on the front page of all newspapers for at least that long.
Meanwhile, I’ll go back to to sorting out my clothespins and fixing the ones which are too worn out to use regularly by destructive rejuvenation – two bad ones make one good one in most cases.
